Aufgrund der Gr\u00f6\u00dfe und der charakteristischen Form von Wallern liefern sie perfekte Echolotbilder und sind vor allem verwechslungsfrei identifizierbar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Was viele verwechseln:<\/strong> Nicht die Sonarreflexion des eigentlichen Fisches sondern vor allem der sogenannte Sonar-Schatten spielt h\u00e4ufig die Hauptrolle bei der Interpretation von Echolotbildern im Side Imaging. Auch hier kann man die Fische selbst gut als helle Reflexion erkennen. Bei so deutlichen Bildern f\u00e4llt es auch dem Laien einfach, das Echolotbild richtig zu interpretieren. Doch Achtung - das was eigentlich wie ein Waller ausschaut ist nur der (Sonar-) Schatten des eigentlichen Fisches! Mit dieser stahltst du nach links und rechts vom Boot weg. Trifft das Licht auf ein Objekt wird es reflektiert und du kannst das Objekt im Licht erkennen. Hinter dem Objekt entsteht dann der Schatten, das Licht der Taschenlampe kann ja nicht hindurch.<\/p>\n<p>Nach gleichem Prinzip funktioniert auch das Sonar. Es trifft auf den Waller und wird von diesem Reflektiert. Der eigentliche Waller ist also der helle Strich im Echolotbild (rote Pfeile). Dahinter erkennst du den Schatten &#8211; in diesem Fall ist es klar, das k\u00f6nnen nur Waller sein und sie stehen \u00fcber Grund und sind gro\u00df!<\/p>\n<p>Woher wir das wissen? Ganz einfach, der Schatten grenzt ja nicht direkt an den eigentlichen Waller, sondern beginnt etwas dahinter. Ergo ist etwas Luft &#8211; pardon &#8211; Wasser zwischen Fisch und Gew\u00e4ssergrund. Erst die Sonarschatten (wei\u00df) lassen klar erkennen, das hier zwei gro\u00dfe Waller \u00fcber Grund stehen. \u00dcber Grund deshalb, weil der Schatten leicht hinter dem eigentlich Fisch ist (Wie bei der Sonne: Baumkrone Hoch -&gt; Schatten weit entfernt vom Stamm. Unten links zum Beispiel sieht sehr stark nach einem Zander aus. Aus Erfahrung wissen, wir, das erst ab einer gewissen Fischgr\u00f6\u00dfe die Schatten auch so gut aufgel\u00f6st sind, das man Details wie Form und Flossen erkennen kann. Das ist bei dem Zander ganz klar der Fall, er ist also kein Winzling.
