Es geh\u00f6rt mittlerweile zur Standardausr\u00fcstung von Schiffen aller Art. Durch die Weiterentwicklung der Technik sind viele weitere Funktionen hinzugekommen. So geben <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mybait.de\/fishfinder-gps-plotter\/echolote-gps\/\">Echolote<\/a> heute zum Beispiel auch Auskunft \u00fcber die Beschaffenheit des Gew\u00e4ssergrundes. Unter Wasser ausgesendete Schallwellen werden von Hindernissen wie Fischen, Felsen oder dem Grund zur\u00fcckgeworfen und vom Echolot, das auch als Sonar bezeichnet wird, ausgewertet.<\/p>\n<p>Angler \u2013 ganz gleich ob Berufsfischer oder Hobbyangler \u2013 verwenden das <strong>Echolot um Fische bzw. Fischschw\u00e4rme, sogenannte Hotspots, unter der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che zu identifizieren<\/strong>. Behm wollte ein Ger\u00e4t erfinden, das mittels Schallwellen Objekte im Wasser orten kann und so rechtzeitig vor Eisbergen warnt.<\/p>\n<p>Bereits ein Jahr nach dem Untergang der Titanic, am 22. Juli 1913, wurde das Verfahren zum Patent eingetragen. Die Serienproduktion begann 1920 in der Behm-Echolot-Gesellschaft in Kiel. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Kunde der damaligen Zeit war nat\u00fcrlich die Kaiserliche Marine, die die Echolote auf jedem gr\u00f6\u00dferen Schiff einbauen lie\u00df.<\/p>\n<p>Echolote nicht f\u00fcr den Krieg, sondern f\u00fcr die Angelei einzusetzen, war in der damaligen Zeit noch unvorstellbar. Mit einer Ausnahme: Alexander Behm selbst war n\u00e4mlich auch leidenschaftlicher Angler und erfand zahlreiche Ger\u00e4te, Ruten, Rollen und den ber\u00fchmten Behm-Blinker. Das gilt \u00fcbrigens sowohl f\u00fcr Schall im h\u00f6rbaren Bereich, also das Echo in den Bergen oder in H\u00f6hlen, das jedes Kind kennt, genauso wie f\u00fcr Ultraschall, der oberhalb des f\u00fcr Menschen h\u00f6rbaren Frequenzbereichs liegt.<\/p>\n<p>Aus der Laufzeit des Schalls k\u00f6nnen R\u00fcckschl\u00fcsse auf die Entfernung des Objekts gezogen werden, das den Schall reflektiert hat. Dabei ist zu beachten, dass die Schallgeschwindigkeit von der Dichte, dem Druck und der Temperatur des Mediums abh\u00e4ngt. Je k\u00e4lter Luft oder Wasser, desto langsamer l\u00e4uft der Schall.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Echolot sendet \u00fcber den sogenannten Geber, der auch Schwinger genannt wird, Schallimpulse aus.
