Was sind Vor- und Nachteile und wann sollte man einen Bugmotor und keinen Heckmotor als Angler w\u00e4hlen? Minn Kota Bugmotoren sind keine reinen Antriebsmotoren, sondern Elektromotoren f\u00fcr Angler, denen eine exakte Bootskontrolle sehr wichtig ist. Genau das ist auch der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Vorteil der Bugmontage. Da der Minn Kota am Bug des Angelbootes sitzt, zieht er das Boot, anstatt es zu schieben. Und zwar genau und sofort in die Richtung, in die man steuert. Bei Minn Kota Heckmotoren muss der Bug erst umst\u00e4ndlich \u00fcber das Heck geschoben die Richtung wechseln, was viel unpr\u00e4ziser ist. Mit einem Bugmotor kann man also viel genauer das Angelboot kontrollieren. Dar\u00fcber hinaus verf\u00fcgen Minn Kota Bugmotoren \u00fcber eine Vielzahl von Kontrolloptionen und technischen Funktionen, die es bei Heckmotoren nicht gibt. Dazu geh\u00f6rt zum Beispiel i-Pilot bzw. i-Pilot Link, Autopilotfunktion, automatisches Ankern, automatische Geschwindigkeitskontrolle oder die Kontrolle des Minn Kotas mittels Fernbedienung, Fusspedalsteuerung oder gar beidem. Schnell wird klar, das sind Funktionen f\u00fcr aktive Angler, die zum Beispiel die H\u00e4nde zum Werfen frei haben m\u00f6chten und dennoch den Minn Kota Bugmotor steuern wollen. Nat\u00fcrlich hat die Bugmontage eines elektrischen Au\u00dfenborders auch Nachteile: Der Preis ist h\u00f6her (daf\u00fcr erh\u00e4lt man aber auch die enorme Funktionsvielfalt, die Heckmotoren nicht bieten) und man ben\u00f6tigt eine Plattform vorne auf dem Angelboot, die die Montage des Bugmotors erlaubt. Ebenso sinnvoll ist die Nutzung eines Minn Kota Heckmotors bei einer anderen Variante des Vertikalangelns, dem pelagischen Angeln.
