Das Echolotbild l\u00e4uft im Side Imaging Modus n\u00e4mlich von oben nach unten und nicht von rechts nach links wie Angler es aus dem klassischen 2D Sonar auf ihrem Echolot kennen. Ganz oben mittig auf dem Fischfinder ist also dort, wo das Boot sich gerade befindet. Die Gegenwart ist immer ganz oben am Bildrand. Aktuell betr\u00e4gt die Wassertiefe ca. 10 Meter. Insgesamt wird 20 Meter nach links und rechts gescannt. In der Vergangenheit war es flacher, ca. 7 Meter und das Angelboot fuhr von dort aus in tieferes Wasser. Genau darum wird die dunkelblaue Wassers\u00e4ule unter dem Boot (die ja seitlich ausgeklappt ist!) auch breiter (da tiefer). Je weiter man vom \u00dcbergang Wassers\u00e4ule\/Bodengrund nach rechts oder links geht, desto weiter rechts bzw. links vom Boot liegen die Objekte auf dem Side Imaging Bild. Super zu erkennen ist recht sein gro\u00dfer Fischschwarm. Einige der Fische sind sogar noch in der Wassers\u00e4ule direkt unterm dem Boot. Das Zentrum des Fischschwarms (und vor allem die Dicken!) ist aber ca. 15 Meter rechts neben dem Boot. Ebenso wichtig ist die Side Imaging Technologie nat\u00fcrlich bei der Objekt- oder Personensuche, erlaubt sie auch dort, wie bei einer Computertomographie, ein Gew\u00e4sser bis auf den Boden sehr effektiv und vollst\u00e4ndig zu scannen und obendrein noch fotorealistische Bilder darzustellen. Doch die Side Imaging Technologie von Humminbird kann noch viel mehr, um das Angeln mit dem Echolot effektiv zu machen. Sie erlaubt es n\u00e4mlich, sehr detaillierte Informationen \u00fcber die Topographie eines Gew\u00e4ssers zu erhalten.<\/p>\n<p>Mit Side Imaging k\u00f6nnen Berge und T\u00e4ler links und rechts des Bootes ebenso identifiziert werden wie tiefe L\u00f6cher oder Gr\u00e4ben und Rinnen. Diese Information kann beim Angeln Gold wert sein!<\/p>\n<p>Am Leichtesten f\u00e4llt die Interpretation von Side Imaging Bildern, wenn man sich eine Taschenlampe vorstellt, mit der man nach rechts oder links strahlt. Trifft der Lichtstrahl auf ein Objekt, wird er reflektiert \u2013 das Objekt ist hell. Mit L\u00f6chern, Kan\u00e4len, Unterwasserbergen und anderen Strukturen ist es genauso. Ansteigender Gew\u00e4ssergrund wird vom Side Imaging (oder der Taschenlampe) st\u00e4rker reflektiert \u2013 er ist heller. Trifft das Side Imaging auf abfallenden Bodengrund (oder der Taschenlampenstrahl), bleibt der Bereich dunkler. Die Vorstellung, dass Side Imaging wie eine Taschenlampe funktioniert, ist dabei sehr hilfreich. Wer bis hierhin alles zum Thema Side Imaging gelesen und verstanden hat, wird keine gro\u00dfen Probleme haben, das Bild richtig zu interpretieren. Ein paar Tipps machen es nat\u00fcrlich einfacher &#8211; los geht es:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>A<\/strong> zeigt die aktuelle Bootsposition (immer oben auf dem Bildschirm.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>B<\/strong> ist die Wassers\u00e4ule unter dem Boot, die seitlich aufgeklappt dargestellt wird (s.o.). Befinden sich Strukturen, wie \u00c4ste direkt in der Wassers\u00e4ule unter dem Boot, sieht man diese nat\u00fcrlich auch. Je breiter die dunkelblaue Wassers\u00e4ule, desto tiefer das Wasser. In der Mitte des Side Imaging Bildes fuhr das Boot also durch ein tieferes Loch, die Wassers\u00e4ule wird erst breiter und am Ende des Lochs wieder schmaler.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>C<\/strong>\u00a0ist das Bodengrundprofil, also der \u00dcbergang von Wassers\u00e4ule unterm Boot zum Bodengrund direkt unter dem Boot. Vergleichbar mit der Bodenlinie am normalen 2D Echolot, nur eben seitlich aufgeklappt.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>D<\/strong> zeigt gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigen Gew\u00e4sserboden. Weder ansteigend noch abfallend und daher farblich weder hell noch dunkel.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>E<\/strong> zeigt abfallenden Gew\u00e4sserboden. Je dunkelblauer, desto st\u00e4rker abfallend (vom Taschenlampenstrahl wird nichts reflektiert).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>F<\/strong> Aufsteigender Gew\u00e4sserboden im Side Imaging. Je heller, desto steiler (im Extremfall trifft der Taschenlampenstrahl auf eine senkrechte Wand, die dann sehr hell reflektiert wird).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>G<\/strong> Umgefallene Baumst\u00e4mme. Die Schatten hinter den St\u00e4mmen sind auf dem Side Imaging Bild sehr kurz \u2013 ergo liegen die Baumst\u00e4mme auf dem Grund und stehen nicht. Die Winkel der Schatten lassen dabei auf die Lage der Baumst\u00e4mme schlie\u00dfen \u2013 wie beim Bestrahlen mit einer Taschenlampe.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>H<\/strong> Stehende B\u00e4ume. Objekte, die direkt in der Wassers\u00e4ule unter dem Boot sind, k\u00f6nnen im Side Imaging auch dort erkannt und auf dem Echolot abgebildet werden. Objekte, die hingegen links und rechts vom Boot entfernt senkrecht im Wasser stehen, sind als sehr hell und stark reflektierend wahrzunehmen. Sie werfen \u2013 sofern sie aufrecht stehen \u2013 einen dunklen Schatten im Side Imaging Bild. H\u00e4ufig erkennt man daher die langgezogenen Schatten im Side Imaging eher als das eigentliche Objekt. Bitte beachten Sie, auch wenn wir hier st\u00e4ndig den Vergleich mit der Taschenlampe bringen. Diese Schatten werden nat\u00fcrlich nicht von Licht erzeugt, sondern sind lediglich die bildliche Darstellung eines fehlenden Echos, da das Objekt (hier B\u00e4ume) den Sonarstrahl ja bereits voll reflektiert hat. Lange Schatten im Side Imaging sind ein Indiz f\u00fcr hohe Objekte, kurze Schatten dagegen f\u00fcr niedrige. Dein Echolot kann in diesen Meerestiefen noch gut aufl\u00f6sen und eng zusammenstehende Fische als einzelne Fischsicheln darstellen. Gerade f\u00fcr den Norwegenangler kann dies hilfreich sein, wenn er zum Beispiel erkennen will, ob der Boden aus Ger\u00f6ll und scharfen Felsen oder aus flachem Sand bzw. Kies besteht. Und nat\u00fcrlich kann mit der hohen Frequenz eine fantastische Target Separation erreicht werden. Dein Echolot wird bei richtiger Einstellung einen Makrelenschwarm also nicht als diffuse Wolke darstellen, sondern dir werden einzelne Fische angezeigt (und die dicken Dorsch hoffentlich darunter).<\/p>\n<p>Nutze bei der Einstellung des Echolotes also bis zu einer Wassertiefe von 100 bis 150 Metern die Vorteile der hohen Frequenz. Der Dual-Beam-Modus, bei dem beide Frequenzen (200 und 83 kHz) auf dem Echolot \u00fcberlagert dargestellt werden, ist daf\u00fcr ausreichend. Dieser Modus ist eigentlich bei allen Echoloten der Grundmodus und man muss als Angler nichts Besonderes ber\u00fccksichtigen. Je niedriger die Frequenz, desto tiefer kann das Wasser durchdrungen werden, da die Schallwellen viel energiereicher sind. Auch ist der Abstrahlkegel breiter, man sucht also eine viel breitere Wasserschicht ab und wird Fischschw\u00e4rme schneller finden.<\/p>\n<p>Nachteilig bei dieser Echoloteinstellung ist eine deutlich schlechtere Aufl\u00f6sung gegen\u00fcber einer hohen Frequenz von zum Beispiel 200 kHz. Du wirst auf deinem Echolot also lediglich den Grund sehen k\u00f6nnen ohne unterscheiden zu k\u00f6nnen, ob es sich dabei um Ger\u00f6ll mit gro\u00dfen Steinen oder flachen Grund handelt. Lediglich die Bodenh\u00e4rte, die vom Echolot ebenfalls angezeigt wird, kann einen Hinweis darauf liefern. Einzelne Steine wirst du aber nicht mit dem 200 kHz Signal erkennen k\u00f6nnen. Auch wirst du einen Schwarm Rotbarsche in gro\u00dfer Tiefe eher als diffuse Wolke auf dem Echolot erkennen und keine einzelnen Fischsicheln sehen.<\/p>\n<p>Wer schon jetzt wei\u00df, dass er prim\u00e4r in Norwegen in derartigen Tiefen angelt, sollte bei der Anschaffung des Echolotes \u00fcbrigens gleich einen entsprechenden Geber w\u00e4hlen, der ein 50 kHz Signal aussenden
